We manufacture these heater in various Diameter, Length and power density, With ability to choose various clamping option and end terminals. These heaters are made from high resistance steel (Other options are also available, like High nickel steel or incoloy). We use high quality compressed MgO insulation which effectively insulate the live wire and the sheath material and also allowing heat to transfer effectively. These Heater can be made with constant watt density or with varying watt density along its length. Normally these heater can be operated at a maximum of 750°C (1382°F) but some of the variations can even operate at more than 850°C.

Drill Hole/Cartridge Heater Diameter selection Guide


For maximum efficiency and long life, a cartridge heater diameter should be as near to the hole diameter as possible.

But, It is a matter of fact, that when a material temperature increases, it tends to expands

So, if a cartridge heater outer diameter is made equal to the hole dia, in cold condition, then after switching on the heater, the heater would stick to the hole because of thermal expansion.

It would hamper the normal operation of the heater and hence results in lower life.

Also, it might be difficult to remove such heater after their failure, which would have sucked inside the hole.

It is point to be noted that the diameter of the cartridge heater should attain the diameter of the hole at working temperature instead of cold temperature
